Re: Three From The Vault Pre Order At Best Buy |
Lousy choice if it is 2/19/71.
Not b/c of Pig, but b/c, as noted, the show has been widely circulated and available for a long time. The vault series should be about re-mastering more hidden gem type shows, improving sound quality of such shows, and adding lots of extras in packaging to attract sales.
this does not meet that standard. Of course, i'd like to see some shows from the '77-'79 years featured. Not a lot done there officially, especially '78 to '79.

On that subject, I did note some months ago that the 3-18 to 3-20-77 run from Winterland was missing from LMA. I can't imagine they'd limit a release of that to just two CDs, but one wonders why those shows were taken down. 3-20 is a great show and fits on two CDs.

Re: Three From The Vault Pre Order At Best Buy |
Ooh--sorry to keep replying to myself (at least I'm not using multiple handles to do so), but that would explain why it's called THREE from the Vault (three shows from the 18th to the 20th). And being from Winterland, it may have been recorded in 16-track. But just 2 CDs?!?
